How to get free, impartial and confidential advice

If you need advice, information or guidance, Penicuik Citizens Advice Bureau is here for you.

Due to COVID-19, our CAB is running a reduced service. To keep you and our staff safe, our bureau will only be operating an e mail advice service and a limited telephone advice service.

Please e mail  bureau@penicuikcab.org.uk with as much detail and information about your query so we can help you the best we can.

Due to the high demand please allow 48 hours (not including weekends) to get back to you.

Check if you can solve your issue on line and visit the Citizens Advice website for detailed information on a wide range of topics, including guidance on benefits, debt, money, work, housing and much more.

It’s also easy to get in touch with us, in whichever way suits you best. For more complex issues, such as immigration, we recommend you make an appointment to come in and see us. Please note that we only offer drop-in services at our outreach locations.

Advice in person

For more complex issues or ongoing problems, you should visit us so we can discuss your situation in person. Face-to-face we’ll have the time to talk about everything that’s going on and offer you the best advice.

Phone us

Give us a call to get advice on any issues or problems you’re facing, or to arrange an appointment at the bureau.

We can help with relatively simple issues over the phone, particularly if you’re looking for a quick answer to something straight-forward.

Email us

Send us an email with information about the issue you’re having and what type of advice you would like. Email is a useful way to contact us if you don't need an answer urgently. We’ll aim to get back to you as soon as possible. Please note that we cannot give individual advice over email..
